  • Driving in the US

The popular Florida airport destinations for Orlando will be Sanford or Internationl Airport. You will collect your hire car from one of the rental agencies at the airport. They will always Offer you upgrades e.g. a Sat Nav etc. Almost all vehicles are automatics and the handbrake is often a second footbrake which the left foot operates.

If unused to automatics remember your right foot needs to be on the primary footbrake to allow you to change gear. When in drive or reverse the car will move as soon as you take your foot off of this brake.

The villa should be found with relative ease. When exiting either main airport follow the signs for the 417 South. This is a toll road, so have US currency to pay a few dollars at the 3 or 4 toll booths you will come to. Continue on the 417 South from Sanford airport and in about 25 miles you will pass signs to International Airport. This would be where you will join this road (417 South) if you have arrived at International Airport. Keep on the 417 South for a further 12 miles or so until you see the signs for the I-4 West.

Follow the signs for the I-4 West and when you join this road keep on it for about another 6-8 miles. Leave the I-4 west at junction 58. On the slip road keep to the left lane (the right lane goes to Championsgate). At the traffic lights at the end of the slip road turn left onto the CR532 East. This road goes under the I-4 and you should keep on it for about 1 mile.

You will pass Reunion on your left and after this there will be a set of traffic lights with a Publix supermarket on your right. Lake Wilson Road will cut accross the road you are on. Go straight over at these traffic lights. In about 1/4 of a mile ahead there is a slip road on the right onto Polk Connection Road. Take this road and 200 yards along here is the entry to Lake Wilson Preserve. Robin Road is the first right as you enter and the villa is about 100 yards down this road on your right hand side.
